I’m choosing to share my spiritual beliefs in case you ever hear me refer to them. I respect everyone has their own and is on their own spiritual journey in life. I am continuing on my journey as well. My beliefs have changed throughout my life, thru experiences and lessons learned. I also understand there is no wrong or right way to love God. It’s not black or white, it is a beautiful rainbow of colorful ways to love God and practice your spiritual rituals of worship. I believe that God loves all the variety. Just as He has shown us in His creation. There are so many variations of flowers, trees, fish, lands, birds, animals and human beings. Even the roses he didn’t make just one. He made so many different varieties and colors. He didn’t create just one or one way. I believe the same as with us, families and was to love. God loves us all uniquely. Just as we are and for all that we are. God loves our hearts. God is love!!!

My personal affirmation is, The Holy Spirit lives within me and Jesus Christ’s teachings lead me into all God has for me to be. I am love, peace and joy. I am safe and others feels it when they are around me. I live by the Golden rule. (Thank you Aunt Betty. Love you & miss you!!!)

Most people have heard of God or Creator of the Universe, but might not have heard of Jesus or Holy Spirit. Therefore I’m sharing my beliefs below. 🙂

Who is this Jesus guy???

You might of heard him called, Jesus Christ or Jesus of Nazareth He Is, The Savior of the World. There are many other names and characteristics of Jesus. In Scripture He is called Messiah, Teacher, Lion, Lamb, Love, Prince of Peace, Light of the World, Emmanuel, King of Kings, Resurrection, Life, Truth, Wonderful Counselor, Faithful, Healer, Shepherd, Bread of Life and many more. In America we celebrate His birth on December 25th, Christmas and in the Spring we celebrate His bodily death and resurrection, and call it Easter. It is the oldest Christian festival of the Christian church.
For more information study The Holy Bible and you will discover Him more intimately. He will speak to you thru The Word. You can always speak directly to Him through prayer. Ask and He will answer.
To me, Jesus is the only one who has ever loved me unconditional. He has always loved me.  He loved me just as much when I was lost in my sin as He does now that I am washed clean, covered by His blood, that He willing poured out for me.  No one else has ever died for me.  No one else has ever been as faithful, honest and true to me as He has and will always be.  He is not just my ticket to heaven, He is my constant companion.  At times I feel like a cat that’s lived so many different lives and on one of my last. He has helped me get through all those transitions. Truth is we only have one life here on Earth but I believe in the Afterlife. I truly believe that our energy just transitions when we leave this temporary body. However, I am not just looking to enjoy Heaven someday. I believe Jesus died to give us an abundant life and that we can have heaven here on Earth too. I also believe Jesus when He told us that He must go to be able to send us a helper. I believe that helper is The Hoy Spirit the good book speaks about. I believe in the power of The Word, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We have a divine direct connection to all. I believe that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. I believe thru following Jesus’s teaching, my life will become better and I will be better to others. I want to share the love of Jesus with whoever He sends into my path. I am blessed to be a blessing!!!

“Who is the Holy Spirit???”

No matter if you just learned of Jesus or if you’ve been a Christian for years, knowing who the Holy Spirit is helps us so much. In fact Helper is one of His many names.  Before Jesus’s death he spoke about the Holy Spirit in John 14. In verses 16-17 He says, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate/ Helper, who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads in all truth. “

John 14:16-17
Studying the Holy Bible, it shares so much more of all the Holy Spirit is but here is just a few quick places you can check out in the Bible to learn more.  In 1 Corinthians 12 it goes into all the different gifts and that God decides what gifts He gives to each of us.  Later in Chapter 14 it talks about the importance of being responsible with the power of Spiritual Gifts.  God is of peace and order. The Gifts are for us to learn and be encouraged.  Not blasting doom or gloom. Definitely not showing off or playing with snakes. The most important is Love!!!
1 Corinthians 12
Ephesians 2:8 Tells us that Salvation is a Free gift you don’t have to be good to get it. You don’t have to straighten out, it’s come as you are!!! If there is things that need to change in your life you don’t have to do it alone. The Holy Spirit will help you and strengthen you to be able to do whatever changes that you need to make in God timing. When you are mature enough to make lasting changes.
As Christians the more we spend time with God by, reading and studying the Bible, Praying and talking with God, the Holy Spirit will began helping us to obey God.  The longer we are Christians the more we should act Christ like. Galatians 5:22-25 talks about the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  In my B.C. days, Before Christ, I REALLY struggled to be patience, have joy or any self control.  Today I am patience, joyful and have self control because I have allowed the Holy Spirit to do work in my life to help me to become more Christ like.
Maybe you’ve heard of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit before and you got kinda freaked out and decided, I’m out.  I completely understand!!!  That was me years ago with my first few encounters in different church services.  First time I was about 8, I sprain my ankle playing ball earlier that afternoon, that night I went to church with friends.  During the prayer services they decided to carry me to the front of the church and pray for me…only I didn’t know any of these people, they slathered all this oil on my head, oil was on their hands when they all put their hands on my shoulders and ankle to pray for me… In tongues. Definitely a very foreign language to me!!!  My ankle did get better and I could feel the power even though I was equally freaked out. It did start my conversions of who the Holy Spirit is???  Later as teen I had conversations with family about the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, and being baptize by the Holy Spirit.  They even prayed for me to receive but I don’t believe I received then because I wasn’t sure it was legit. Then in my early 20’s I started searching for a home church, during this time I started going to a place where they moved in the gifts of the Spirit all the time.  I had a lot of questions and I kept going back because I could feel it was real but some how wanted to prove them fake. I know sounds terrible, but that’s honestly where I was. The pastor had made up a little pamphlet that talked about the different gifts of the Spirit and scripture of where it is found. After reading myself and studying I realized it was real. I had felt it before but was denying the power because of my hard heart…and kinda still a little freaked out about what my next experience might be like.  I believed in the Power of the Holy Spirit but wasn’t really using it on my behalf or for anyone else’s benefit. A few years later I found my home church and my Pastor taught from the Bible on the Gifts of the Spirit and the reason God ask for there to be an order to them.( 1 Corinthians 14:23) Of course I TOTALLY AGREED!!!  One day we had a guest speaker come to the church and he taught all about the Holy Spirit’s power in our prayer life.  At the end of service he asked for anyone wanting to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to come forward for prayer.  With butterflies in my stomach I went forward, received prayer, got baptized with the Holy Spirit and the gift to speak in tongues. That was my experience. I’m not saying you have to have someone pray over you in order for you to receive. I know of some people praying by themselves and receiving their gift. I believe that God wants us all to receive and use these gifts. I also believe He wants us to study and understand how to properly use them to help ourselves and others without freaking them out. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman, He won’t force Himself on anyone. So I encourage you to study and find out for yourself what the bible says on the Spiritual Gifts and the Power of the Holy Spirit.
I feel the Holy Spirit in me everyday but I feel it most when I am at the beach listening to the Earth breathe thru the waves. Also at night when I stare into the dark skies to see the stars up above. Both places remind me I am just a small part of this great big world that’s in the middle of this time and space. So much out there to be discovered. Infinity more!!!
